The Tempest

A new adaptation of Shakespeare's classic tale
By the Barn Arts Collective


The Tempest is an original adaptation for family audiences of the classic magical play by William Shakespeare. Set in 1920's Bar Harbor, the show follows the story of an former duke-turned-sorcerer who sets to act out revenge on the royals who usurped his throne. With new swing music, vintage costumes, and five actors playing all of the roles, this Barn Arts production also features a chorus of community members who all play the trickster spirit, Ariel.
